Why New MLCC Part Numbers?

Following the re-organisation of the Electronic Components Group within Kyocera in 2021 and to maximise sales and manufacturing synergies within the MLCC group, K-AVX and the Kyocera Electronics Components Group will introduce a new global MLCC part number.

Having already combined K-AVX and Kyocera MLCC manufacturing and development resources, the introduction of the global MLCC part number will facilitate the rapid expansion plans of the MLCC business unit.

The new part number will make it easier for K-AVX customers to perform product searches to access the broad product line up they offer as a combined group.

The new global MLCC part number will be introduced from Oct 2022 and will be phased in over the next years with a target completion date of Oct 2026

With the introduction of the new part numbering system, it is important to note that the new part number will be produced with the same materials, designs and processes as the existing part number and will exhibit identical physical and electrical characteristics.

The new part numbering structure with associated crosses from the current part number is available using the following link.
